Advertisements of Coca Cola_by Liang Qiu

Actually, Coke has become an inseparable part of the representations of American popular culture. You can see young guys drinking Coke everywhere; in amusement parks, at schools, in restaurants, etc. Some ones even can't live without Coca Cola. Just like hamburgers and other fast food, Coca Cola isn't healthy but convenient and delicious. During our childhood, we must have a good memory with Coca Cola; picnic outside, movies, journeys or something else.

Comparison of these four advertisements:
In the first advertisement, Coca invites four famous baseball players to promote their products. In this way, they want to convince the audience that Coke is loved by athletes and will be loved by everybody.
The second advertisement uses a cute mascot to close the distance between the company and consumers. This cartoon character can encourage the audience to buy Coke vividly.
Let’s have a look at the advertisements I found on Internet. The boards Coke uses are usually red and brown which are also the colors of their products. Red can impress people, too. They create a strong impact on the audience. Both advertisements use words to convince the audience that they can have fun and enjoy their life when they drink Coca Cola.
Analysis:
The first one uses ethos. When you see four well-known players advertise for this product, you will naturally believe that Coca Cola is the most delicious soft drink. Maybe one of them is your favourite baseball star, then his words will be very powerful and effective.
The second advertisement uses pathos. The advertisers create the cute character. A large number of consumers will love it. So it will affect this part of consumers and encourage them to buy Coke.
The third and forth advertisements use logos to promote Coke. In the third picture, several young people seem very happy and energetic. And the words implies the audience that it is because they play on the Coke side of life. The forth is similar. Through pictures and words, the advertisers make consumers believe that their life will be better by drinking Coca Cola.
The introduction of Coca Cola:
Coca-Cola is a carbonated soft drink sold in stores, restaurants, and vending machines in every country except Cuba and North Korea. It is produced by The Coca-Cola Company of Atlanta, Georgia, and is often referred to simply as Coke . Originally intended as a patent medicine when it was invented in the late 19th century by John Pemberton, Coca-Cola was bought out by businessman Asa Griggs Candler, whose marketing tactics led Coke to its dominance of the world soft-drink market throughout the 20th century.
The Coca-Cola Company has, on occasion, introduced other cola drinks under the Coke brand name. The most common of these is Diet Coke, with others including Caffeine-Free Coca-Cola, Diet Coke Caffeine-Free, Coca-Cola Cherry,Coca-Cola Zero, Coca-Cola Vanilla, and special versions with lemon, lime or coffee.
Based on Interbrand's best global brand 2011, Coca-Cola was the world's most valuable brand.
